Ingrid Klimke

Demonstrating:  Methods for Training the Classical Way Through Fitness & Gymnastic Exercises

Dr. Ina Goesmeier, DVM f

Presenting: Natural Therapies to Support the Health & Improve the Rideability of the Horse

Apple Knoll Farm
25 Forest Lane
Millis, MA

As you know, the New England Dressage Association Fall Symposium will be held November 1 & 2, 2014 at Apple Knoll Farm in Millis, MA.  The Symposium will in part be facilitated by Ingrid Klimke presenting methods for training the classical way through fitness and gymnastic exercises.  The Caveletti used in the symposium as a tool in the training of the Dressage horse will be available through a silent auction during the symposium.  Dr. Goesmeier will be lecturing and presenting practical applications of her topic with live demonstrations.  Her utilization of Chiropractic, Acupunture and Herbal methods in addition to standard veterinary care generate wonderful discussions. These rarely available lectures are wildly popular and not to be missed.  There will also be DVD’s and books authored by Ingrid Klimke available for sale as well as a book signing session.  We are also hopeful there will be a publication by Dr. Goesmeier available for sale.

NEDA has reserved a block of rooms at the Hampton Inn, 319 Speen Street in Natick.  In order to access the block of rooms call reservations at 508-653-5000 or reserve rooms on-line at this link, you must request the NEDA or New England Dressage Association room rate.  All Reservations must be received on or before the Cut-Off-Date of Friday, October 3, 2014.  The room rate has been reduced to $109.00/night for single or double occupancy; a deposit of $109.00 per room will be applied at time of reservation, the remainder due will be charged upon check out.  For those who would like to do some tourist things, the room rate will be offered 3 days prior and 3 days after the group rates dates of October 31-November 3, 2014.

On-line registration will remain open until 8pm on 10/31/14 at the walk-in rates.  You will NOT have a packet ready for you at the door but you will be on a list, please bring your receipt just in case!  Remember, auditor space will be limited so I urge you to get your applications in as soon as possible.  For groups of 10 or more, contact Kate O’Connor at for additional information.

The auditor forms are available on the Fall Symposium page.  To register on-line, click on the "Register" link above or click here to go to the Fall Symposium page and scroll below the rolling banner of NEDA Sponsors to find the desired form in either PDF or DOC format to mail in.  Please complete registration on-line or by mail to:  Tammy Paparella, 6 Pratt’s Junction Road, Sterling, MA 01564.

It cannot be stressed enough how rare this opportunity is. Ingrid Klimke and Dr. Goesmeier do not come to this country often, so take advantage of it. Keep checking here for updates.

For any additional questions or for group information Contact: Kate O'Connor ~

UPDATE:  October 26, 2014

CAVALETTI SPONSORED!  The Cavaletti have been sponsored by Fie Andersen of Equito Dressage.  Fie will be bringing the cavaletti home at the conclusion of the symposium.  NEDA is extremely grateful to Equito Dressage for this most generous support.

Deadline extended again:  Due to an unfortunate system glitch, the online registration was unavailable for a short time.  Thank you all who tried to register on the website for letting us know of the problem.  The issue has been fixed and in an effort to allow those who tried but were denied access, the deadline will be extended through Wednesday October 29th.  After that you will have to pay at the door at the higher rate and lunch availability will depend entirely on how many extra may be available.

EARLYBIRD MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT:  Just as a reminder, the early bird membership discount makes it cost effective to join a very active organization and receive the reduced NEDA membership rate at the same time.  The membership benefits include discounts at NEDA educational events, including outreach programs, all NEDA publications and GMO membership to the USDF.  These are just a few of the member benefits.  For a complete list of benefits and membership options, please access

Books, DVD’s and Vendors:  Trafalgar books will be selling Ingrid Klimke’s books and DVD’s as well as hosting book signings.  Dr. Ina Goesmeier will be selling her book as well and I’m sure will be available for signings too.  There will be vendors under the large tent including Saddle Mattress, saddlers, Draper, SmartPak and from the Fall Festival, et cetera!
