WEEKEND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM
Bedford, NY- January 7, 2015 – The Dressage4Kids annual Weekend Educational Program is being held on January 31 and February 1, 2015 at Nonnewaug High School, 5 Minortown Road, Woodbury, CT.
Designed for riders of all ages and levels, parents, and trainers, the Weekend Educational Program seeks to include everyone from the horse community, and the two-day event provides great networking opportunities with fellow riders and trainers from multiple disciplines.
This year Dressage4Kids welcomes international dressage competitor Laura Graves as a keynote speaker. At the recent World Equestrian Games, Laura finished 5th in the Grand Prix Musical Freestyle and was the highest placed member of the US Dressage Team. She has brought her outstanding horse, Verdades, from a youngster to competing at Grand Prix. We are thrilled that she can come to talk to us about Verdades and her training ideas and experiences.

We also welcome Inspirational speaker and mountain climber, Donna Decker, who has climbed the highest mountains on all seven continents and completed a successful summit of the world’s tallest mountain, Mount Everest, in 2012. We can all learn so much from a successful person in any field, and look forward to hearing from Donna how she achieved such success. (Photo credit: Courtesy of Donna Decker)
Two-time Olympian Lendon Gray started the Weekend Educational Program 13 years ago with the goal of helping riders, parents, and instructors gain a better understanding of the good horsemanship skills that are necessary not only for the well-being of the horse, but also essential for success in the show-ring. Again this year, many experts will be sharing their knowledge over a wide range of subjects – all of which are valuable to horse people of all ages and skill levels.
