NEDA Stallion Service Auction begins January 18th and runs to February 14th at 9PM EST.

Breeders get good deals on stud fee in the NEDA Stallion Auction. But, that is not all. The NEDA Stallion Auction is unique like no other stallion service auction. The NEDA Auction is the fund raising event for supporting all NEDA Sporthorse events and education. The benefits extend to the whole dressage sporthorse community.

NEDA Stallion Auction Futurity: Breeders and owners of any offspring of stallions in the NEDA Auction from foal to 3 years old can compete at the NEDA Fall Festival Breed Show and receive cash award prizes. The top 6 horse owners, breeders and

owners of the sires receive part of the $5400 Stallion Futurity purse.Breeders and owners need to show their young sport horses to help their sales, but also for their foundation training for their future dressage career.Horses that have shown at the breed shows are easier to train. This benefits the breeders, owners, trainers and riders of our dressage horses.

Fall Breed Show Qualifying Classes Cash Awards:First place of each USDF Qualifying class at the NEDA Fall Show and Championships receive part of the $1250 cash awards.Showing young horses is expensive, but we need to promote and train our young dressage horses. It is very nice to get a saddle pad or cooler, but cash

incentives help even more to bring horses to the breed shows. We want to encourage our best horses to come.Better horses make a quality show. One of the best comments we hear from the judges at the NEDA Fall Show and many of the qualifiers is that we have high quality horses at our New England shows. When you get an award at one of the New England Breed Shows or NEDA Fall Breed Show you know your among the top horses in the country.

Promoting American Breeders: America breeders are financially challenged.Their biggest competitor is the American buyer goes to Europe and can see many horses in one place. The buyer may even pay more for the horse they purchase and import when they could have found an equivalent quality horse bred here. We need to support our own breeders first.$2400 goes towards the 1st place horse that is born in America in each qualifying USDF class at the NEDA Fall Breed Show.

Stallion Owners Challenge:Owning and standing a stallion is expensive. Stallion owners are faced with the same economy challenges as the breeders. Advertising is very expensive for stallion owners. Most stallion owners don't even break even. The NEDA Stallion Auction is very attractive to the stallion owners as we help to advertise their stallion and more importantly their offspring. They receive a business card ad in the Stallion Listings page in the Tip year around, promotion from the stallion auction, offspring from the stallion sold in the auction eligible for the NEDA Stallion Auction futurity for 5 years, banner and flyers at the NEDA Fall Breed Show. The winner of the stallion auction futurity and its sire is featured on the NEDA Sporthorse Flyer the following year.Because of this, we get top international bred quality stallions in our auction.

Breeder's Education Scholarship:Sporthorse Education Scholarships $1000-$4000 are awarded to NEDA members who seek to further their sporthorse education.Scholarship recipients write articles on what they learned and share it with the NEDA members in the Tip.The education benefits all that reads the article.Maybe a future, breeder, owner, handler or young horse trainer?

New England Breed Show Series:We have the best USDF Breed Show series in New England. Thanks to having 9 qualifying shows and more being added.NEDA encourages breeders, owners and buyers of young horses to attend these shows. One incentive is the $2100 NEDA Breeders Sweepstakes.Any horse that enters the NEDA Sweepstakes at a qualifying show is eligible for the cash awards at the qualifying show and if they compete at the NEDA Fall Breed Show, they are eligible for the $2100 Sweepstakes awards to the owners and breeders of the horse. This sweepstakes helps thequalifying shows with entries which is vital to keep these shows.

The NEDA Stallion Auction closes February 14th at 9pm EST.Get your bid in on your favorite stallion for a good deal on a stud fee and support your dressage sporthorse community.
