Working Student Position

Pierre St Jacques and St Jacques Equestrian have an opening for a working student.  Pierre is a US PAN AM Team Gold Medalist, Alternate for the 2010 World Equestrian Games and Short Listed for the 2012 Olympic Games.  Pierre is based at his North Star Farm in Orefield, Pennsylvania which is a brand new equestrian facility located on 28 acres less than an hour North of Philadelphia and an hour and a half west of New York City.  North Star Farm offers a main barn of 16 beautiful European imported stalls in addition to a two stall quarantine barn.  Beautiful indoor ring with full length short side mirrors, Ecogrid stabilizing base design with Future Track footing and five foot kick boards with surrounding windows.  Ample hacking and 200' x 160' outodoor arena give horses a gorgeous and happy space to work and train.

Working Students will be expected to work six days a week. Board and training will be provided for a working student and further benefits will be determined by working students abilities, experience, skill set and workmanship.  Working students must be motivated to learn and improve in all aspects of their horsemanship including horse management, care, riding and training.  Duties and responsibilities of working students will include but are not limited to feeding, turning in and out, cleaning stalls and paddocks, grooming, tacking up and cleaning tack.
