Dorothee Schneider

The German “Championmaker”

We are thrilled to bring another first–class educational event to our membership through our Fall Symposium. Featuring Olympic Gold and Silver medalist, WEG Gold Medalist, and two-time German Champion Dorothee Schneider.

Schneider has made two Olympic appearances receiving Team Silver in London 2012 with a 7th Individual and in Rio 2016 Team Gold with a 6th Individual. She also holds a Team Gold medal for the European Championship and rose to the top of the German Dressage Ranking in 2018.

A true testament to her ability to bring horses along, she once dominated the World
Championship for Young Horse with unprecedented consecutive victories by winning the 5-
year-old, the 6-year-old and the 7-year-old titles with the stallion, Sezuan. Four times since
2012 she has won the German Title of the Best Upcoming Grand Prix Horse.

This will be Dorothee Schneider’s first symposium in the US. Don’t miss out!
You can learn more about Dorothee’s training methods and details of the symposium in this issue of the Tip or on the NEDA website.

Before we jump ahead to the fall though we have some great opportunities to learn and compete in the spring. If you have training goals to accomplish this year you may want to apply for a NEDA scholarship to assist in funding your goals. The deadline for NEDA Spring Scholarships is Monday, April 1, 2019.

The NEDA Spring Show returns as two separate shows on June 1st and 2nd. The opening date is April 15th. By popular request this will again be an Official Qualifying Competition for the 2019 Adequan FEI North American Youth Championship presented by Gotham North, 2019 AGCO/USEF Junior and Young Rider Dressage National Championships, 2019 USEF Young Adult ‘Brentina Cup” Dressage National Championship presented by Dressage Today and the 2019 Markel/USEF Young and Developing Horse Dressage Championships.
We look forward to coming out of winter hibernation and seeing you at these events!

Happy Spring!
